Agreement to These Terms

Welcome to TranslateEPUB (translateepub.com). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and ebook translation services. By creating an account, uploading a file, purchasing credits, or otherwise using TranslateEPUB, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Service

TranslateEPUB lets you upload EPUB or PDF ebooks, preview a limited free translation sample, and purchase credits to translate the full book into another language. Features, limits (such as file size), supported languages, and credit rules may change as we improve the product.

Translation output is generated with automated systems. It is provided to help you read or draft content faster—not as a certified, notarized, or publication-ready human translation unless we expressly say otherwise.

Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must be legally able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting your credentials.
  • Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your Content and Copyright

You retain ownership of the ebooks and other content you upload (“User Content”).

By uploading User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own it or have all rights needed to upload it and request translation
  • Your use does not infringe copyright, privacy, or other rights
  • The content is not illegal, harmful, or prohibited under these Terms

You grant TranslateEPUB a limited license to host, process, transmit, and store User Content and translations solely to operate the service (including previews, full translations, downloads, caching of paid results, abuse prevention, and support).

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to translate and possess the materials you upload. TranslateEPUB does not grant you rights to copyrighted books you do not own or license.

Translations and Intellectual Property

  • Your translations: Subject to these Terms and payment where required, you may download and use the translated files we generate from your User Content for your lawful purposes.
  • Our platform: The TranslateEPUB website, branding, software, and documentation remain our property (or our licensors’). You may not copy, reverse engineer, or resell the platform itself.
  • No ownership of models: AI models and infrastructure used to produce translations are not sold or transferred to you.

Credits, Pricing, and Payments

  • Full-book translation consumes credits based on source length (as described on the pricing page). Free previews do not consume credits for the previewed portion.
  • Credits are purchased in packs via PayPal (or other processors we enable). Prices and pack contents may change; the price shown at checkout applies to that purchase.
  • Credits are tied to your account, have no cash value, and are not transferable unless we say otherwise.
  • Unless required by law or expressly stated at purchase, credit purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered to your account. If a technical failure prevents delivery of a paid translation you already paid for, contact support and we will work in good faith to complete the job or restore credits.
  • Taxes may apply depending on your location and payment provider.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content you are not allowed to process or translate
  • Use the service for malware, scams, or illegal activity
  • Attempt to bypass credit limits, free-preview limits, security, or rate limits
  • Probe, overload, or disrupt our systems or other users
  • Misrepresent the automated translation as human-certified professional work when it is not
  • Use the service to violate export, privacy, or intellectual-property laws

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, abuse, or risk to the service or others.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data. By using TranslateEPUB, you also agree to that policy.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that translations will be error-free, complete, culturally perfect, or suitable for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or official use. Always review important text yourself or with a qualified human professional.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRANSLATEEPUB AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR CREDITS IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TranslateEPUB and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the product (with reasonable notice when practical). Provisions that should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive termination.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes. If you do not agree, stop using the service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of translateepub.com, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction may hear disputes that are not resolved informally, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
